YEAR-END AWARDS


Members are solely responsible for reporting their scores/hours to the Awards Chairman.

Members need a minimum of 12 volunteer hours to be eligible for all SDCTA awards.

Riders must have been a member in good standing at the time the scores were earned

Prizes include gift card to your favorite tack shops, show coupons good for SDCTA hosted shows, T-Shirts and more.

Volunteer hours can be easily earned by helping with pre-show set up, writing articles and making submissions to the quarterly newsletter, hosting a monthly meeting and attending monthly meetings.

 

Category 1- SCHOOLING SHOWS

To qualify for an award in this category, a rider and horse combination must have 4 scores at each level with a minimum of 2 scores coming from SDCTA sponsored schooling shows. Awards will be given at each level, First through Grand Prix, depending on participation. (FEI and Musical Freestyle competitors submit 2 scores from 2 shows). A Horse/Rider combination cannot win a Championship Award at the same level more than two (2) times.

Category 2 - USEF/USDF RATED SHOWS

To qualify for an award in this category, a rider and horse combination must compete in at least 2 USEF/USDF Recognized shows and must have 4 scores at each level. Awards will be given at each level, First through Grand Prix, depending on participation. (Note: FEI competitors submit 2 scores each from a different show). A Horse/Rider combination cannot win a Championship Award at the same level more than two (2) times.

Category 3 - SPECIAL CLASSES

This category includes the Musical Freestyle, Pas De Deux, Quadrille, and IPEC classes. To qualify for an award in this category, a rider and horse combination must compete in at least 2 USEF/USDF Recognized shows and must have 2 scores at each level. If competing in Pas De Deux all members of the team must be members of SDCTA at the time the scores were earned and be eligible for year-end awards. Awards will be given for the following groups within this special category: Sub-cat 1: Musical Freestyle (1st - FEI) Sub-cat 2: Pas De Deux (1st - FEI) Sub-cat 3: IPEC

Category 4 - AWARD OF MERIT

Award given for rider who achieves six scores at 60% or above at rated shows at any one level training through Grand Prix (not including freestyles)

Category 5 - SERVICE AWARDS

To qualify for an award in this category, you must have earned hours by supporting SDCTA by volunteering. You ROCK! = 60+ hours; Platinum = 40-59 hours; Gold = 25-39 hours; Silver = 15-24 hours; Bronze = 12-14 hrs

Category 6 - COMBINED TRAINING AWARD Combined Training Award

To qualify for an award in this category, a horse and rider combination must submit penalty points from 2 competitions either recognized or schooling show.
